The music for this weeks show: “Rainbow Connection” by Kermit the Frog. This was Kermits major hit, which was, according to his closest sources, about snorting angeldust off the butt of a swine. Years later he said of the song: “I hated it. I hated singing it, and I hated that g**damn banjo. Plunk plunk. I wanted to shove it straight up that guys *ss.”
A dreamer weaves the world through fingers
Laid to rest in the darkness of reality
Falling to only lift a head above shoulders
Daring to break through to a world of fantasy
Illusions of the mind intertwined with will
Determination to fulfill a mission
A vision of more than the eye can see
Facing a life time of events with ease
Headstrong, proceeding with the tasks ahead
Temptations arise, but fail to grace the eyes
Far beyond, a realm of energy escalates
The power to find the spirit within
To overcome the madness that sleeps in the depths
Tenderly aiding the needs of the mind
Placing the stars in arms reach
Gathering them in the palm
They sparkle and shine so bright
Eyes closed, falling into an eternity of bliss
Happiness in the mental sensuality
Physically appealed by the dynamic
The best thing about a rainstorm in the city is the aftermath of cleanliness. For a few days the stink and dirt is removed, replaced by cooler air.
Khal was not a favorite stop, but a needed one. The only thing that made it worth it was the Tavern, and a small Raki girl that lived in a room upstairs.
So I am able to get in game on the “old” pc (which was the newer PC last week) and I haven’t lost connection.
JUST TO BE SAFE I am playing on balanced with a few things turned up. But it’s playing great, 40-50 FPS.
Anyway, I’ve been doing quests for the Ancients at the Shrine of the Ancients. They are this strange race, and look like a cross between the good and evil creatures from the Dark Crystal. I am loving the quests and the lore they have given, and have ran into some group quests, so I need to get a group together to do ‘em.
Anyway, one of them gave me this bow:
I know, I know. It does some decent damage but doesn’t have any effects. But man, I got it and it looks awesome, and it’s MINE. I was more excited for this bow than I have been better pieces. And they gave it to ME, and no one else.
Well, except the other players that did the quest! lol
But I love it, it looks beautiful and is MINE. I need a good name for it.
On Thursday, I left my home to head to the fabulous Las Vegas! I had never been there before, so I was truly excited. I had previously decided I did not want to deal with baggage claim, so I packed all my things in a small carryon bag. The flight was alright. I got to watch Leatherheads, which is really not that great of a movie. I took lots of pictures as well, which you’ll see quite a few, If you check out our Voyages of Vanguard images.
Arriving at the air port in Las Vegas, one can immediately find slot machines! It was 108 degrees! I knew I was in the desert, but man… stepping outside was an adventure within itself. My cousin had picked us up from the air port and we were on our way to the Hilton Hotel.
When we arrived at the Hilton, we went to our room which was upgraded due to them giving our previous room to another person. They didn’t charge me extra, and I got a bigger bathroom, so I happily took the room. I dropped off my things, and we went to visit everyone. This was the first time I got to meet some of my guildies, and I was giddy. My guild leader, Thund, was there. He is indeed a very down to earth guy, and surprisingly everyone seemed just like they were online. It goes to show Vanguard folks aren’t fake. Hehe.
We originally planned to release a total of three chunks of audio! Instead, I have mixed the “normal” show with the “documentary” about the Live Quest. So, they are both on this one special..so keep listening through to the end!
Dellorn started a character biography thread in the RP section of the VG Forums. Here are Beau and Luper’s first entries. If you want to check out more of the entries, or add your own, please follow the link here.
Arrived on Thursday night, unfortunately missing the Quark’s bar gathering, hehe… Iceraven, a Safe Haven guildmate, picked me up at the airport, and we headed to the Hilton. I found a number of people from SH and headed up to their room, greeted by a shot of Jaeger I was thirsty, but that was quite a shock to the system after the long plane ride. We headed up to Rik’s room, and there I met Merd, Simnir, Rikoo, and Vendoyn (from SH). It was already late and the raki needed sleep, so we headed to Merd’s room and crashed out.
